1. what does re-it mean?

re-it is made up of the words re-commerce and information technology. Re-commerce generally describes the trade in used goods on the Internet. In online trading, re-it focuses on the purchase and sale of used IT hardware.

2. What advantages do I have from re-it?

3. What happens to my used IT hardware?

We refurbish your used IT hardware and remarket it. Once a product has been checked and refurbished, there are two options:

  • The return of the complete and functional product to the market

  • Returning the individual components of the product to the market

     

4. Does re-it make a contribution to environmental protection?

By refurbishing and returning used IT hardware, we make our contribution to environmental protection, as the product life cycle of each item is extended, thus conserving resources and energy consumption.

 

Purchasing process

1. I cannot find my device in the selection menu, how do I proceed?

If you cannot find your items in our selection menu, please send us a short e-mail to info@re-it.shop with information about your item. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

 

2. Is a minimum purchase value required for re-it?

No minimum purchase value is required if you sell via our purchase store. The sales value is determined by your configuration and the subsequent check once we have received your items.

 

3. What criteria does re-it use to evaluate my articles?

This is assessed according to the current condition, functionality, equipment and accessories. The current market prices at the time are also taken into account.

 

4. I rate the condition of my items differently than the re-it, what happens then?

The final evaluation of your item will take place as soon as we have received it by shipment. If you do not agree with the price we offer you, we will send your item back to you free of charge on request.

 

5. Do I have to remove all passwords before sending my device?

In order for us to be able to check your device, full access to it must be guaranteed. It is therefore essential that you remove all your passwords beforehand.

 

6. Can I send a device with a damaged battery?

No, please never send us a device with a damaged battery. Please return the damaged battery to the battery return system (e.g. to an appropriate recycling center).

 

7. Do I have to reset my device to the factory settings before shipping?

For data protection reasons, we recommend resetting the device to the factory settings. However, this is not absolutely necessary for the evaluation and purchase by us.

 

8. What happens to my data before I send the device to re-it?

We recommend that you back up your personal data beforehand. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to request personal data in the further processing stage, as we delete the hard disks completely.

 

9. How do I determine the technical data of my laptop?

You can find the technical data of your laptop with Windows operating system under:

Start > Settings > System > About

 

10. What is an illumination error and how do I recognize it?

Brighter or darker illuminated parts of the screen indicate an illumination error. If there is an illumination error, the display is not flawless, which reduces the offer price.

 

11. How are my items tested at re-it and how long does this process take?

As soon as we receive your items as a shipment, you will receive a confirmation email from us and we will start checking them immediately. You will receive feedback from us within 3-5 working days. If there are no valuation differences, we will arrange payment. Otherwise we will send you a counter offer.

 

12. Can I request a return of my device or article after it has been checked by re-it?

If the test results match your previous details in the configurator, we will arrange payment within 24 hours. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to return your item in this case.

 

Payout

1. When will I be paid the value after my item has been sent?

Once we have received your item, we will check it immediately. If your details match our check, we will arrange payment within 24 hours.

 

2. What payment methods does re-it offer?

We offer payout via bank transfer and PayPal.

 

3. How long is the re-it offer price valid after my items have been configured?

Our offer price in the configurator is valid for 14 days from the date of the sales confirmation, which is sent by e-mail.

 

Shipping

1. What are the shipping costs within Germany?

Up to a configured offer value of €100, we automatically charge €5 shipping costs. If the configured offer value is > €100, re-it will cover your shipping costs. It is important that the goods are free of bulky goods with a maximum weight of 31.5 kg.

 

2. Do I have to use the re-it shipping label to send my IT hardware?

Please always use the shipping label sent by us and the transport sticker to mark the batteries.

 

3. Can I send my IT hardware to re-it from abroad?

We currently accept shipments from all European countries.

Shipments from European countries, with the exception of Germany, are classified differently for shipping costs.

Up to a configured offer value of €200, we automatically charge €15 shipping costs. For a configured offer value > €200, re-it will pay the shipping costs.

It is important that the goods are free of bulky goods with a maximum weight of 31.5 kg.

 

4. How high is the shipping company's liability?

The amount of liability for shipping is 500 €. If a higher sum insured is required, please contact us.

 

5. Is it possible to return my item to re-it on site?

On-site delivery is not possible.

 

6. How do I pack my IT hardware for shipping?

As IT hardware is sensitive, we advise you to pack your items securely and with padding. If you are sending several components, make sure that each component is packed separately from the others.

Please ensure that components such as processors and RAM are packed individually to prevent mechanical damage. For larger quantities, we are happy to provide suitable packaging material on request.

 

7. Is the return of my items free of charge if the purchase price is rejected?

The return shipment of your items is free of charge for you. re-it will cover all shipping costs.

 

Customer account

 

1. Is registration necessary to sell my items to re-it?

A customer account is required to sell to re-it. Our customer account offers you the advantage of having a complete overview of your sales and transactions.

 

2. How can I cancel my sales order?

If you wish to cancel your sales order, simply send a short e-mail to info@re-it.shop.

 

Privacy policy


1. Does re-it protect my data from misuse and disclosure to third parties?

We take the issue of data protection very seriously. You can find detailed information on our data protection page. We would also like to point out that we use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) software for our purchase store, which protects the information when you sell to us by encrypting it.

 

2. What happens to my data if it is still on my device?

All personal customer data is irrevocably deleted. We use the BLANCCO software for this. All data is deleted from hard disks and media in an audit-proof and certified manner. All legal requirements for the deletion of data (Federal Data Protection Act) are complied with. Further information on certification can be found at https://adisa.global/.
